 Buhari makes new appointment 


President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Nasiru Baballe-Ila as his Senior Special Assistant on National Assembly Matters (House of Representatives).

Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity to Buhari disclosed this development in a statement on Sunday, obtained by POLITICS NIGERIA.

Ila, a product of Victory College, Alexandria and West London College, United Kingdom (UK), is a businessman with interests in haulage, ginnery and tannery before his foray into politics.

He is a Chartered member of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN).

In 2011 and 2015, he was voted into the lower chamber of the National Assembly as a member representing Tarauni Federal Constituency in Kano.

Ila replaces Umar Ibrahim el-Yakub who has been appointed Minister by President Buhari.

 BREAKING: Anambra Police seal factional Eze Uzu’s palace, chase away new yam celebrants Police have sealed-off the palace of the factional monarch of Awka community, His Imperial Majesty, Eze Uzu III, Chief Austin Ndigwe. The embattled monarch was billed to hold the celebration of new yam festival in Awka Kingdom on Saturday when his palace was sealed.
